What Does the New 2019 Audi Lineup Look Like?

Audi is a German manufacturer of luxury automobiles that has a very successful history dating back more than 100 years. The company today is very well known for producing some of the most luxurious, stylish, safe, and reliable vehicles on the road. Every year, the company continues to release a new line of luxury vehicles that are well received by critics and popular luxury vehicle options for consumers.

For the 2019 model year, Audi once again has a variety of popular vehicles under their A series, Q series, and T series lines. Many of these vehicles have been upgraded to continue to attract buyers that are looking for quality luxury and high-performance vehicles.

A-Series

The Audi A-series is comprised of a variety of coupes, sedans, and wagons. For the 2019 model year, Audi has 11 different vehicles that fit into this series, each of which are targeted towards different drivers based on style preferences, vehicle size, engine performance, and budget.

The vehicles in the A-Series are the A3 Cabriolet, A3 Sedan, A3 Sportback e-tron, A4, A4 Allroad, A5 Cabriolet, A5 Coupe, A5 Sportback, A6, A7, and A8. To give an overview of the series, we have highlighted the 2019 A3, A8, and Cabriolet models below.

2019 Audi A3

The base sedan in this lineup is the Audi A3. This is a smaller four-door sedan that comes standard with a four-cylinder engine option that produces around 186 horsepower. For those looking for more engine performance have a variety of alternative engine options to choose from, including a five-cylinder engine that produces a very impressive 400 horsepower and 0-60 mph time of just 3.9 seconds.

With the base engine option, a driver can expect to get about 32 mpg on a blended basis. This fuel efficiency falls to about 24 mpg when upgraded all the way to the five-cylinder engine.

The 2019 A3 comes with a few different style and tech upgrades compared to the prior year. This includes a seven-inch touchscreen display, heated seats, and additional USB ports. Furthermore, there are now a good number of safety features including Audi’s Pre Sense Front safety package and a rearview camera.

2019 Audi A8

At the other end of the A-series is the Audi A8, which is a very popular luxury sedan that has a starting MSRP in excess of $80,000. For the 2019 model year, the A8 has been completely redesigned. The four-door sedan now comes with one engine option, which is a V6 that produces about 350 horsepower and will provide you with about 25 mpg on a blended basis.

The A8 has a variety of top luxury, entertainment, and safety features that come standard. The luxury features include push-button start, a 17-speaker premium sound system, a 10-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, HD Radio, and satellite radio. Some of the standard safety features include surround-view parking cameras, rearview cameras, rear cross traffic alert, and adaptive cruise control. Overall, these features have allowed the A8 to achieve top safety ratings from both the NHTSA and IIHS.

2019 Cabriolet

Another option under the Audi A-Series is the Cabriolet, which comes in A3 and A5 varieties. Although these vehicles are very similar in nature to the A3 and A5 sedans, the main difference is that they are built as convertible coupes. They have many of the same engine and performance features as the A3, including the base four-cylinder engine option and the same 2019 style and tech upgrades.

Q-Series

The Audi Q-Series is one of Audi’s SUV lines. For 2019, the Q-Series includes the Q5, Q7, and Q8. These SUVs are typically classified by their high-performance engine options and tech upgrades.

2019 Audi Q5

The Audi Q5 is a luxury compact SUV that comes loaded with safety and tech features. For instance, some of the top safety features that are included with the base trims include blind spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, and rear park assist.

With the 2019 model year, there is a new SQ5 Premium trim that includes all the features found in the base trim, plus an 8.3-inch infotainment display, 12.3-inch virtual cockpit, and a 360-degree parking camera.

The base trim levels come with a four-cylinder engine that produces around 250 horsepower, which most people consider to be enough for an SUV of this size. With this engine, you will get a blended fuel efficiency of around 25 mpg. Those looking for more performance can upgrade to the V6 engine that gets around 350 horsepower with 22 mpg blended fuel efficiency.

2019 Audi Q7

The 2019 Audi Q7 is the company’s midsize sedan, which is largely unchanged compared to the prior model year. It has many of the same top tech and safety features as the Q5, which includes the newer 12.3-inch virtual cockpit. The main difference between the Q5 and the Q7 is the Q7’s larger cabin and cargo space.

The Audi Q7 also has the same two engine options, both of which are generally considered powerful for a midsize sedan. Due to the size of the Q7, fuel efficiency declines slightly compared to the Q5.

2019 Audi Q8

For those that are looking for a larger luxurious SUV, the 2019 Audi Q8 is the best option available.

The Audi Q8 was completely redesigned for the 2019 model year. As part of the redesign, it has a whole new interior and some upgraded exterior finishes. With this model, the only option is the V6 engine that produces around 350 horsepower. While this is considered more than sufficient for a large SUV, some competitors do offer a more powerful engine option as an upgrade. Drivers will get around 22 mpg on a blended basis with this SUV.

With the Q8, you can enjoy a wide variety of premium luxury finishes including a 10.1-inch infotainment touchscreen, built-in navigation systems, Apple and Android phone connectivity, and a 17-speaker premium audio system. Drivers looking for safety features will love the 360-degree camera, heads up display, lane departure warning, and pedestrian detection.

T-Series

The Audi T-series is well known for producing a variety of stylish and powerful convertibles. While these do not have as much space as the convertibles in the A-Series, they do provide great engine performance that can make them a lot of fun to drive.

The 2019 T-Series includes the TT Coupe, TTS Coupe, and TT Roadster. We chose to highlight the TT Roadster as a quick overview of the series.

2019 Audi TT Roadster

The 2019 TT Roadster is a high-performance convertible that comes standard with an engine that can produce over 225 horsepower and get you from 0-60 mph in about 5.5 seconds. At the same time, it is built with a wide variety of luxury finishes that can ensure you are comfortable when you are behind the wheel. This includes leather seats, a leather steering wheel, heated and ventilated seats, and adequate space for the driver and front seat passenger.

Those that are looking for even more performance can upgrade to the newer five-cylinder engine that produces nearly 400 horsepower. With this engine option, you will receive unmatched performance, but fuel efficiency will decline from around 28 mpg on a blended basis to about 22 mpg.

The 2019 Roadster has a new acoustic folding top that will allow you to raise or lower the top with just one push of a button. Also, the advanced drive system will allow you to adjust the top when you are going as fast as 31 mph.

When you are looking for a Roadster, you will have the option of getting it as either a convertible or covered coupe. The trim levels also allow the convertible option to be either a two or four-seat car.
